Hej and hello,

I am Birgit. A Stockholm based photographer focusing on wedding photography and portraits, as well as corporate portraits and events.

Photography has been an integral part of my journey, evolving from the anticipation of waiting for film rolls to be developed to cherishing those captured moments. These photographs, frozen in time, hold a special place in my heart as my most treasured possessions.

This passion drives me to create lasting memories for my clients, documenting the intricate connections between the people I photograph. Whether capturing the grandeur or the subtle nuances of a wedding day, I aim to preserve each moment as it unfolds.

My goal is to allow you to be yourself while I am there to capture every meaningful detail.

I have been documenting weddings since 2012 and to me, it's about crafting an experience that couples will carry with them into their future. I want you to feel secure, at ease, and confident in my role as the creator of your first heirloom as a married couple – photographs that will be cherished for generations.

Originally hailing from Hamburg, Germany, I found my way to Stockholm, Sweden, in 2013 and fell in love with the city. Embracing a somewhat nomadic lifestyle with my Canadian husband, we've lived in diverse locations, including St. John's, NL, and Moncton, NB, in Canada, and spent six enriching years in Bermuda, where our two children joined our tribe.

My passion for photography is complemented by a deep appreciation for travel, community, genuine connections, meaningful conversations, timeless architecture, and the beauty of nature – all of which hold a special place in my heart and continually inspire my work.

The Experience

When you invite me to photograph your wedding, you’re not just hiring someone with a camera—you’re choosing a person who’ll be by your side during some of the most intimate and emotional moments of your life and who brings a whole lot of experience. That’s something I take seriously—and with a whole lot of joy.

1. It should feel easy.
I know most people aren’t used to being in front of a camera—and that’s okay. My approach is calm, intuitive, and grounded in making you feel like yourselves. I guide when it’s needed, and quietly observe when it’s not. The best photos happen when you’re relaxed, present, and simply enjoying your day.

2. You can count on me.
I bring a sense of calm and professionalism to your day—someone who’s attentive, discreet, and knows how to navigate every type of wedding with ease. I often hear from couples how safe and taken care of they felt with me there, and how even the most camera-shy guests ended up feeling comfortable and seen.

3. I’m with you all the way.
From our first call to the final gallery delivery, I’m here not just as your photographer, but as a steady presence. I help you plan for the best opportunity for great natural light or creative flash photos, build a timeline that works for real emotions (yes, those candid images you found on Pinterest didn’t “just happen”. The photographer most likely created that space for the couple so the moments could happen) and I send you my wedding guide filled with helpful tips I’ve gathered from photographing celebrations in the past decade.

4. This isn’t about perfect poses.
It’s about your connection, your people, and the beautiful chaos of a once-in-a-lifetime day. I’ll be there for the quiet in-between glances, the full-belly laughter, and the dance floor chaos. And yes, I’ll gently direct you during portraits so you’ll get images that feel both natural and elevated—editorial, yet real.

5. Images that feel like you.
My style is timeless and modern, with soft light and creative flash moments, beautiful tones, and a strong sense of emotion. I create photographs that don’t just document how your day looked, but how it felt. The kind you’ll frame on your wall—or revisit on a quiet Sunday with a glass of wine and a full heart.
